SHIELD Membership Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions (Terms) set out the terms and conditions of the contract through which House of Shield(HOS/SHIELD/her/us/we) will deliver services to you (you/your) as a member. In order to become a Shield member you must agree to these Terms and conditions of membership.

 

  1. The Shield personal and Professional Conduct

In becoming a member of House of Shield, you are agreeing to uphold her values and commitments personally and in your professional conduct. [Please ensure that you have read and you agree with her values, mission, commission and vision before seeking membership.]

  1. Membership contract

When you click to submit your completed membership application online you are subscribing to these Terms.

You will receive an email confirmation once your membership registration and payment has come through.

Payment for membership is based on membership package purchased.

Membership is automatically renewed monthly with saved card on the portal on the same day of purchase. And if membership is purchased through manual payment, member would receive a membership renewal reminder to pay by bank deposit or add a card to the portal.

You may not transfer any of your rights or obligations under these Terms to another person.

  1. Membership types and fees

The Shield membership structure is being continuously developed and we reserve the right to introduce new membership types, each with its own eligibility criteria. Members will need to subscribe for one of those membership types (subject to such terms and conditions as will apply at the time of their application).Membership of House of Shield is subject to and conditional on the payment of a Monthly membership fee, this can be paid, monthly, quarterly or annually.

Membership fee levels will be assessed on an annual basis and members will be notified of any changes (with a full explanation of any such changes) at least seven days before their membership renewal is due.

Members can also upgrade or downgrade their subscriptions based on the benefits they seek.

      4. Order confirmation

We will email you to confirm the placement of your order (Memberships and Services) and payments. In the event that there is an error in this email confirmation, it is your responsibility to inform us as soon as possible.

  1. Right to refuse, or remove from Shield membership

We reserve the right to refuse or remove from Shield membership any individual if we have sufficient evidence that such individual is not upholding the Core values of House of Shield. HOS reserves her right to consider matters of compliance and standards and will have the power to investigate and make recommendations as to whether or not an individual should be refused, or removed from, Shield membership.

  1. Changing membership Terms

We may change these Terms at any time,on giving you 7 days prior written notice. If you object to the changes we plan to make to the Terms you are entitled within 7 days of the date of such notice to email us at hello@houseofshield.com, stating reasons why you object and recommendations if any, we are in business for our members (you).

  1. Termination of memberships

You may terminate your Shield membership by unsubscribing from your current membership subscription on your account on the community portal, if you have issues doing this, send an email to hello@houseofshield.com and following receipt of such email we will confirm the termination of such memberships to you via email.

  1. Data protection and use of personal data

The personal data you supply to us will be used to:

  1. process your membership application, and membership fee;
  2. fulfil your membership benefits;
  3. for marketing, statistical and analytical purposes on behalf of House of Shield.

You will receive communications from us as part of your membership benefits, mostly by email. Other than as set out above, we shall not sell or disclose your personal data to third parties without obtaining your prior consent unless this is necessary for the purposes set out in these Terms or unless we are required to do so by law.

  1. Guidelines for online peer to peer communication in forums, special interest groups or communities of learning/practice (Shield Groups)

Shield Groups are open to all members, upon payment, you have immediate assess to the groups you are assigned to. Shield Groups aim to stimulate engagement, discussions, ideas and debates and thus differences of opinion will be aired. The following etiquette is to be followed by all Shield members:

In submitting online posts in connection with Shield Groups you agree to the following:

  • Your full name will appear on your posts and replies;
  • You will not use:
    • jargon, dense language and excessive references
    • exclusive or derogatory language
    • obscene or rude content, or content that belittles or attacks persons or groups
    • profane, obscene, rude, or illegal material or reference sites that knowingly violate intellectual property rights;
  • You will provide links to sources where possible.

Shield Groups are not intended to be a marketplace for any goods or services.

House of Shield accepts no legal responsibility for facts stated or opinions expressed in Shield Groups and does not endorse any material[generated by such Shield Groups].
